Mdm Regina Mickal’s 75th Birthday, 19 July 2008

Sunday, July 27th, 2008

I recently had the opportunity to photograph Madam Regina’s 75th birthday at Sunway, PJ. Being a close knit and devout christian family, the party started off with thanksgiving prayers followed by cake cutting before dinner. A variety of drinks and freshly cooked local food such as satay, thosai and apam among others were served to guests.

I could sense the warmth and love from each family member both young and old and their joy in celebrating such an important occasion. This is one of the reasons why I love photography…as it allows me to capture such beautiful moments which will be treasured for the rest of their lives !

I’ve had a great time photographing the party and getting to know the family. I hope to see all of you again and lastly may God bless you, Mdm Regina with many more birthdays to come !

Frames Cafe' @ TTDI

Wednesday, July 2nd, 2008

The next time you’re around the TTDI (Taman Tun Dr Ismail) area and suddenly crave for some good food and great music then head over to Frames. A chic and trendy cafe operated by my friends’ Xanthus & Mark which serves both Asian and Western cuisine.

Stepping into the cafe, you’d notice the vast number of framed photographs hanging on each wall. You will be able to see a selection of my travel photos showcased there as well. These photos are on sale, so feel free to ask the staff about the pricing.

The food and drinks served at Frames are unique and compliment each other. I tried their penne carbonara with mushroom, tomatoes and aubergine and their chocolate mousse cake for dessert. The food tasted exquisite and the dessert was delectable indeed ! Ask the waiter for their house favourite sodas and you will be served with a fusion concoction of east meets west which is not only appealing to the taste buds but the eye as well !

Xanthus & Mark – Congrats on your new opening !
