I've done it ….I've actually gone Pro !

Tuesday, September 30th, 2008

After one year of being active on Flickr, I’ve actually summed up some courage and gone Pro ! Going pro means being able to see more than 200 of my photos in the account at one time, having more than 3 sets of photos as well as being able to upload a lot more photos per month amongst others.

For those who are still in the dark about flickr, its actually an online photo management and sharing application on the web.  Flickr is a free account where you can share, comment and organise your photos and videos.  If you’re already a flickr member, feel free to add me as your friend or comment on any of my photos.

These past 2 weeks !

Sunday, September 28th, 2008

Ironically enough, its been 2 long weeks since I last posted anything on my blog, you can call it the writer’s blog syndrome or even blame it on my hectic schedule…. Anyway…here’s my sincere apologies and as a bonus, there will be a couple of interesting posts coming along your way in the coming days :p

So keep a close watch on my blog!

Let me share with you some of the photos I took of Wignesh and his family in Subang Jaya. These shots were taken on 14 September 2008 before he left his house for his temple wedding. As a photographer, its always handy to have contacts of friends who are also professional photographers, in case you are unable to cover a certain event or have to be at 2 places at once. I did these shots for another friend of mine who needed me to cover the “getting ready” shots.

Midnight Cupcakes !

Saturday, September 13th, 2008

Here are some shots I took for four University Malaya (UM) students – Sean, Stephen, Yeong Ru and Shobie who call themselves “Midnight Cupcakes”.  These TESL students are currently on a mission to raise funds for their study trip to Australia.  Instead of just depending on their parents for funds, they are putting their entrepreneurial skills to the test by selling deliciously tasty cupcakes to various organisations and the public.

So if you or your organisation are thinking of supporting them, feel free to contact Shobie at 016-6029130 or leave your comments on this blog.  There’s a minimum order of 12pcs for the cupcakes, feel free to let them know your flavour of choice !

By the way, they are also selling various types of women’s and men’s clothes in the effort to raise funds..a few samples are enclosed below.

Freedom Film Fest, 5-7 September 2008

Wednesday, September 10th, 2008

I had a great time volunteering during the Freedom Film Fest last week at the Central Market Annex, Kuala Lumpur. The fest which is organised annually by Komas is one of its kind, as it showcases thought provoking films and documentaries featuring various issues such as human rights, AIDS/HIV, poverty and the environment. Besides the screenings, there are also various workshops organised for the public, contest to promote filmmaking as well as discussions.

If you have missed the screenings in KL, fret not as it will also be held in Johor Bahru, Kuching and Penang . Do check out Freedom Film Fest’s website for more details.

Here are some of the shots taken during the fest in KL.
