My first trip to Carey Island, Selangor

Tuesday, June 23rd, 2009

I headed to Carey Island (Pulau Carey) for the first time last sunday with 2 bus loads of parishoners from ‘The Holy Redeemer Church’ in Klang. We were heading to St Anthony’s Church for the feast day. Over 1000 pilgrims and devotees turned up, the mass was held at the church compound to accomodate the huge crowd. The weather was scorching hot and there was no fan where I was seated, so I grabbed my camera out during the last 1/2 hour to snap random shots of ceremony and people around me.

St Anthony of Padua is the partron Saint of Lost Causes and Lost Items. I often head to this website to submit prayer intention and get the daily readings for inspiration.

Hope you do enjoy viewing these images, I only captured black & white shots, some of the shots were taken from the hip or from ground view.

Images from my mobile phone camera

Friday, June 19th, 2009

My favourite application in my mobile phone and most used has to be the camera! I find this convenient, especially when I don’t have my DSLR with me and I need a camera to photography something almost immediately from text to images!

My favourite subjects to photographs include friends, both raw and cooked food and intriguing images.

Here are some random images over time, which I have photographed using my Nokia N95. For a more extensive set of photos, head to to my Flickr page.

Rebecca & Rabindran’s Church Wedding – Part 2

Wednesday, June 17th, 2009

As promised, here is the continuation of Rebecca & Rabindran’s wedding ceremony. They had their second wedding ceremony on the 23 of May at the magnificent church of St Mary’s Cathedral in Dataran Merdeka in KL. The beautiful ceremony was made even more meaningful when Rebecca’s mom, Vimala gave her away in church. After a lovely ceremony, guests headed over to the hall for a lively dinner reception. A huge shout-out goes to Dhivager again, who helped me shoot this function.

Rebecca & Rabindran’s Hindu Wedding – Part 1

Tuesday, June 16th, 2009

Wow! Its been quite a while since I updated my site…I apologise for the delay, its just that I have been really busy with so many new projects and have not had a chance to be online much. Anyway, here are some shots of Rebecca & Rabindran’s Hindu wedding held on 20 May 2009 in Kalamandapam or better known as Scott Road Temple in Brickfields, Kuala Lumpur.

These shots were taken by a friend of mine, Dhivager who stood in for me as I was not able to shoot this event due to personal reasons. Do stay tuned for Part 2, the church wedding ceremony which will be updated on my blog soon.

Do enjoy the images!
