We were lucky to have some snow over the weekend, so I decided to head out with my camera to Biddulph Grange Gardens to photograph a family portrait session with a winter and snowy theme. While I was there, I could not help but photograph these scenic shots of the beautiful garden. The lovely staff at the Grange said they kept the Gardens open mainly for photo enthusiasts who wanted to take photos of the place. Although most of the area in the garden was open, some places were cordoned off for safety reasons. Nevertheless worth a visit next time it snows!
I have never been dissapointed, no matter which season I go to visit the Grange Gardens as each season showcases a different variety of plants and flowers. This was the first time I had visited the gardens during the winter period and I was blown away with its magical white christmas postcard like view. All the trees and plants were covered with light scattering of snow from the night before and it was truly magical.
Here are more shots, the one at the bottom is a side view of the mansion in black and white.
More close up of the snow covered plants and the mansion itself. Loved the fact that the lake had a frozen layer on top. If you are wondering about the koi fish that live in the lake. I am sure they were nice and warm at the bottom of the lake.
This shot was taken at the carpark area with the snow covered benches and tree
Stay tuned for my winter themed portrait photos, coming soon
