Here’s a recent corporate and product photoshoot which I photographed for a local company called Bad Edie based in Biddulph. They specialised in airbrush and temporary tattoo and provide their services at various events, weddings, corporate functions, open days or just at fairs. They also custom make the tattoos so if you have something in mind, you can speak to them and get yourself some glitter make-up or hair accessories which most teenagers and party goers are into. Feel free to check out their website if you would like to hire them for an event or feature them at one of your fairs.
Here are some photos photographed during the Tour of Britain event. There are 8 stages in total which started on 4 September 2016 and it ends in London on 11 September 2016. I was lucky to photograph them when they were in Congleton for the Stage 3 of their Tour where they cycled from Congleton for about 180km to Tatton Park. It was a lovely atmosphere where hundreds of people from all walks of life turned up to cheer them on. Most of the roads were closed and people were everywhere. I went to join the crowd with my camera and my 3 year old son to witness and capture some photos. I did not know any of the famous cyclist but luckily managed to photograph some important and legendary figures such as Bradley Wiggins, Mark Cavendish, Ian Stannard, Steve Cummings amongst others. It was really inspirational to watch the event and wonderful to see the participation of the town’s people. Here ar e some of my highlist and favourite images, to see more photos, do visit my facebook page where I have over 60 photos of the event – Asha Carlos Photography
Above photo taken just as the race started and they were leaving Congleton town.
I used to volunteer my services as a Photographer when I was in Malaysia but have not done so since I’ve had my kids. Hence it was a lovely experience for me to attend and photograph the 4th Annual Alice Family Fun Day ‘It’s a Knockout’ event held at Newcastle Rugby Club on 10th July 2016. This annual event which is organised by the Silverdale-based Alice Charity is a free family fun day where various Companies / Organisations support the charity by joining in as a team of 10. Each team pays a fee of £350 for their team building acitivities, there was also a children’s race for the young ones to be involved as well as craft stalls and a bouncy castle. Alice Charity is a local charity based in Newcastle Under Lyme helping families who are struggling on low incomes with the support and expertise to help make the changes needed to improve their lives.
I love local businesses, especially if it is local to Stoke as I find there is always so much history, love and knowledge that embodies it. So when I was asked to write a 4-page feature article with photographs about a local pottery business by the Editor of Staffordshire Life Magazine, I was, rather stoked.
I walked into Repeat Repeat’s studio in Fenton and was greeted by Gillian Naylor, one of the designers and founders of the company. On the ground floor, there were some staff working on the finishing touches of the bone china mugs to be packaged and prepared for delivery. I next passed through the warehouse area to head upstairs to their creative space to meet Gillian’s other half, both in business and life, Mark Faulkner. I was then offered an aromatic rose green tea in an exquisite white bone china mug and began listening to their story. Here are some sneak peak Corporate Styled Photographs which I photographed for the article.

Here are some photographs taken during a corporate shoot done recently for Pharmaniaga‘s three branches in Bukit Raja (Head Office), Puchong (SVI Plant) and Bangi (Manufacturing Plant), Malaysia.
We were commissioned to capture a few shots of their plants in the three locations, to be used for their website and corporate brochures. Enclosed are just some of the images taken in High Dynamic Range (HDR). Do enjoy viewing.

I recently photographed Glocomp‘s Golf Invitational at the Glenmarie Golf and Country Club in Subang on 19th November 2009. This is my second Golf photo shoot that I’ve photographed this year and I had an amazing time at the Golf course! My earlier shoot can be seen here. The more I get to learn about golfing, the more I am liking the game! This is one of the perks of being a photographer as I get to go to new places and shoot different subjects all the time.
We were lucky as it didn’t rain on the day…God must have heard my prayers! Here are some of the shots taken during the day,the game started off with about 116 golfers who were in 29 flights. Glenmarie comprises two full 18-hole courses. The 18 hole event consisted of a selection from both courses. Half the group tee-ed off from the front 9 while the rest from the back 9. The day started in the afternoon where the golfers were feasted to a lovely lunch before the group shot and tee off ceremony and ended with the slide show presentation of photos taken of the day, lucky raw prizes and prize presentation.
A big thank you to the team from Glocomp, especially Yen who did an amazing job organising this event.

I was invited to attend the Theebam Inflight Nite 2009 which was held at Hotel Istana, Kuala Lumpur on 31 October 2009. Officially launched in 1997, Theebam Inflight Nite’ has been organised annually without fail by the Malaysian Airlines (MAS) Inflight Crew in lieu of Deepavali (Festival of Lights).
The word “Theebam” originates from the Tamil language and means “light”. The word signifies the staff mission to give hope and enlighten the lifes of theneedy and the less fortunate. The event was well organised with lots of entertaining performances such as stand up comedy, dance performances and singing by the crew. The highlight of the event was the fashion show by Avis Adonis, compirising of two gifted designers – Shiva Sekhar who designed the mens wear and Amani who designed the ladies wear.
Kumar & Amani – Thanks for the invites, we enjoyed the evening very much!
Amani – Congrats again on the unveiling your latest designs – they just rocked!
Here’s a corporate group photo taken of their members at the 6th Annual Conference of the Air & Sea Association (ASA) at Nikko Hotel…
Besides weddings, portraits and parties, I also photograph corporate events for various organisations.
I was invited to photograph Pharmaniaga‘s Invitational Golf Tournament last Sunday (2 August 2009) at Tropicana Golf & Country Resort. The registration started at 6:30am followed by breakfast, a short briefing to participants, group photo, tee-off, prize giving and lunch. The event ended approximately at 3.30pm.
Most of the invited golfers were from the medical line such as Professors, Doctors, Pharmacists and representative from the Malaysian Health Ministry.
This was my first ever golf shoot and I was thrilled to have been exposed to it. I’ve learnt a little more about golf… to me it seems like a game of strategy, patience and small talk. It can be either a very enjoyable game or a boring one, depending on the type of person you are. I found it most interesting as it was something new to me.
A huge shout out goes to Cik Mas & Mr Manen from Tropicana who helped me throughout the day and a big thank you to Pharmaniaga as well for giving me the opportunity to shoot the event. I enjoyed the experience immensely.
Tips to photographers planning to photograph a golf tournament:
- Its good to remember a few golfing terms or lingo so as not to be ‘blur’ on the day – Click me
- Never stand in front of the golfer for safety reasons and do not distract the golfer when he/she is about to tee-off. Try to take your shots during practise swings or after the golf ball has been hit.
- Bring along an umbrella, suntan lotion and a cap to weather all types of weather. Wear loose, comfortable clothes and a good pair of walking shoes. Keep a bottle of water close by as it may be a swelteringly hot day!
- It helps to be a morning person, as you have to be up early. Try to shoot with at least 2 photographers especially if its an 18-hole golf course.
- Its best to recce the golf course earlier and arrange for a buggy in advance. Try to ride with the golf marshal or golf official if possible.

Last Saturday amidst Earth Hour, I was busy shooting the launching and officiating ceremony of ‘Persatuan Pembangunan Etika’ at Hotel Maluri, Cheras in Kuala Lumpur.
This fundraising event with the theme “Dinner Towards Knowledge” started with the lighting ceremony of the lamp (Kuttu Vilakku) followed by an interesting array of ‘Bharata Natyam’ dance performances, motivational talk by local speaker N. Sargunaraj as well as a comedy act by local comedian, Acappan. The guests were kept entertained throughout the night with ‘live’ music and motivational songs.
