Regular followers of my blog are probably aware that I have a daughter, Madeline who is now 19 months old. I like to photograph her on a regular basis because at this age children grow up and change at an incredible rate. Photographs are also a great way of keeping friends and family updated with her progress, and retain moments to share with her in years to come when she’s all grown up.
This being my first child, I’m still relatively new to parenthood, and with it comes a whole kaleidoscope of emotions from elation to frustration and everything in between. On the whole it’s a unique, incredible experience and I feel so blessed to be a parent, especially to such a wonderful cheeky rascal. Do enjoy these photographs of her which i took recently.
Regular visitors to my site will know that I have a fondness for portrait photography, especially baby, child and family portraits. I enjoy capturing those precious early stages of a child’s development which form cherished memories. This recent shoot was a quick 45 minute session, and baby LeAnne was fun and energetic throughout. We were blessed with good weather on the day, with a light breeze and slightly overcast sky – great for soft and subtle skin tones.
These family portraits of LeAnne with her parents Vincent & Michelle were photographed at Desapark City, Selangor.
Introducing Baby Rithiekka who is such a fun and bubbly little girl. This ten month old baby can already walk, babble baby talk non-stop and loves to explore new places at such a young age!
We decided to have the portrait session at a park close to her home in Klang and the weather was beautiful, making the session such a breeze. Since Rithiekka loves the water so much, we decided to take some shots of her in the baby swimming pool. Watching Rithiekka splash about in the water with excitment was so refreshing.
Enjoy these images and hope they put a smile on your face.
Let me introduce to you to baby Charanya. Her parents, Chandru and Magesh celebrated their little darling’s first birthday party on 25th September 2011. We began with a family photo session in Shah Alam park before heading to one of Klang’s best kept secrets, the Spice Garden. It’s an Indian restaurant serving mainly north Indian food, which provides a dedicated space for small parties and functions.
Happy birthday to the little cutie, hope you enjoy the photos.
I do enjoy outdoor portrait shoots, especially at beautiful locations which inspire, as was certainly the case here. Both Jun Hao and Elena suggested having the portrait shoot at Cyberjaya, the same location where they had their wedding. This location contains happy memories for them, so it was a marvelous opportunity to return to the place and add to those memories with their lovely little girl who has just turned one year old.
Here is baby Cadence or Cady as she’s fondly called, who was the star of the session for sure! Her joyous personality and cute expressions were just what I needed to capture this beautiful family portrait for them.
Mesmerised by the bubble as it floats on Elena’s hand
Say hello to Dhaneshvar. This delightful darling was such a sweet and active little baby boy during a recent park shoot!
With outdoor portrait shoots the weather plays an important role in the final outcome of the pictures. An ideal time to take this kind of photo is either just after sunrise or just before sunset. I tend to avoid taking photographs here during mid day to avoid the harsher sunlight and shadows, although camera setup and post processing compensates to some extent. After waiting a few days for good weather, we were gifted with a beautiful day – it was truly worth the wait!
Do enjoy these sneak preview shots in the mean time, more will appear in the gallery section soon.
Well it’s almost five months since I last photographed Arya so it was great to catch up and see how much he has grown since then. It’s nice to see his personality shining through at this tender age, and with his big baby eyes and contagious smile my little charming muse was such a joy to photograph.
Working with clients such as Rajindren and Salina is an added bonus as they are full of enthusiasm, ideas and inspiration. Enjoy viewing these images of the little one. If you have a specific idea for a portraiture session of your loved ones feel free to discuss it me and we can brainstorm together to come up with a fun and memorable shoot just for you.
Little Arya’s tiny feet with his parent’s wedding rings on them
Here are some photos captured of the little and tiny Baby Aleya just a month of her being born into this world. I used more of a natural lighting technique to get warm and natural skin tones on the photos. These newborn photos were photographed at Shalin & Azidi’s beautiful home in Mutiara Damansara. I guess I have to give google a big hug for channeling them to me as Aleya is such a doll!
Here’s some pictures of a one year old birthday celebration I took recently. Though I’ve photographed a few first birthdays before, this one was all the more special in the sense that the birthday girl’s parents were previous clients of mine. I was the photographer at Bernard and Aloysia’s wedding ceremony some time back, so it was a privilege to photograph their beautiful baby daughter on her special day!
The birthday party was held at the Royal Selangor Club, next to Dataran Merdeka in Kuala Lumpur and the theme was ‘Barney’. With around a hundred guests at the event, the party was kept a buzz by Stanley Event Management who provided songs, dances, art and games for the kids. The little ones went crazy with excitement when their favourite purple dinosaur, Barney made a special appearance just for them.
Natalia was such a darling little princess and a joy to photograph. Hope you enjoy the preview images.
While it is my second time photographing twins, this time around was an altogether different experience. My previous twins photoshoot was for a 21st birthday celebration, but here the twins were a whole lot younger, at just three months old. Now photographing one baby and achieving the desired pose can be no mean feat, but two at the same time? I like that challenge, hence I jumped at the opportunity to photograph Siew Wei and Edwin’s twin babies recently.
Even at this young age the twins’ individual personalities are already beginning to shine through. Baby Nicole is rather jovial with cute baby talk while baby Nicolas appears more philosophical and thoughtful. The two of them have smiles to soften any heart. Working with twins is a unique experience which is far more enjoyable than it is demanding. Their mummy and daddy did an awesome job keeping the little ones entertained, with additional help from their Godma Gemi.
