I love taking baby photographs which encapsulate those many precious fleeting moments of young life. Over the first few months their character shines through more, as they grow and mature and learn to crawl, walk and talk and so on. That being said, it is at their newborn stage when they are at their most delicate, with their ever so cute tiny hands and feet, fingers and toes. An ideal time to photograph newborns is within the first week or two as they tend to sleep more, making their body easier to sculpt into various positions.
Ok let me introduce you to newborn baby Gabriella, the pride and joy of parents Josephine and Stephen. Here are some sneak preview images of the little angel who was just one week old at the time, and is of mixed parentage – Sinhalese and Scottish.
I like using natural light as it brings out the beautiful natural skin tone of the baby
I was commissioned to photograph Baby T’s 1st birthday party in May 2011 at the Botanic Garden Club House in Klang. The party was very well organised by her parents. Disney characters came to life with a Mickey Mouse mascot, a beautiful themed birthday cake, party packs, Mickey & Minnie cookies, cup cakes etc.
The evening tea party was full of fun activities. While the parents were ushered to the buffet table, the kids were entertained by a clown and face painter who drew beautiful designs to complement their costumes. The evening ended with a best dressed girl and boy competition – a tough choice for the judges as all the kids were dressed like winners!
T was an angel through out the evening and kept the guests entertained with her cute antics. To view more photos of this event, head to Baby T’s Birthday Party Celebration Gallery
I had the privilege of photographing Vinoshan’s 1st birthday party held at the local apartment hall of his home in Jalan Ipoh, Kuala Lumpur on 21st May 2011.
We began the photography session with some family portrait shots and followed with the birthday party celebration. The theme for the birthday party was ‘Madagascar’ hence everything from the cake to the decorations was of Alex the Lion, Marty the Zebra, Melman the Giraffe and Gloria the Hippo – the main characters from the movie.
The party was eventful with magic shows, clown performances as well as an inflatable bounce indoor playhouse to keep the kids entertained. The birthday boy, Vinoshan was full of smiles and expressions throughout the evening, a very friendly boy.
Thank you Muru & Puspa, It was a pleasure to photograph Vinoshan’s big day!

In celebration of beautiful baby girl Neha turning six months old, her mum Puvanes decided to get some portraiture shots of her little one. Puvanes who got to know me from one of my previous clients Salina, came all the way from Seremban especially for the shoot.
Baby Neha was super photogenic and her smile was contagious. The photo session was held in KL and as it was situated nearby a residential park, we decided on a combination of indoor and outdoor shots. Little Neha was happy to dress up in the selection of outfits that was laid out for her by her mum, and her charm and character resulted in a great set of pictures.

Baby Neha lost in a beautiful thought
I recently photographed a newborn portrait session of fourteen day old Fatma Zulaiqa at her aunt’s home in Taman Rasnah, Klang. This little angel quite literally slept like a baby throughout the shoot, bless her.
Here are some preview images of Fatma, do enjoy viewing them.
Here is another fun loving portrait session I took recently with a six month old baby boy. Being of mixed parentage (Portuguese and Chinese), Mylo was such a cute baby to photograph. The photo session was taken at a residential park in Petaling Jaya. We had reasonable weather with a slightly overcast sky and the occasional sun bursting out of the clouds. We were also lucky to have the park all to ourselves as their neighbourhood was quiet.
Most children love it when you sing lullabies or nursery rhymes to them, so it was not surprising when Mylo formed a huge smile whenever his mum and grandma started singing his favourite song:
The itsy bitsy spider went up the water spout.
Down came the rain, and washed the spider out.
Up came the sun, and dried up all the rain,
and the itsy bitsy spider went up the spout again.
Thank you to Michael & Mae for your lovely hospitality and do enjoy viewing the photos.
Here’s some sample shots from a recent family portraiture session which I photographed in Klang, Selangor. Baby Darla recently turned six months old, and was such a natural model and a real joy to work with. With an abundance of charisma and charm, she really loved the camera, and the camera loved her right back. This talented little one also enjoys to hum songs, which only adds to her already substantial cuteness.
While this was an indoor portrait session, taken inside Darry & Pamela’s apartment, we were blessed with beautiful sunny weather which provided plenty of good natural light for the photography shoot. I’m a big advocate of making use of natural light in photography whenever it’s available. I hope you enjoy the images of cute and bubbly Darla who was such a sweetie pie throughout the shoot.
Thank you Darry and Pamela for the opportunity to photograph your gorgeous baby Darla, a thoroughly enjoyable photo session!

I’m really blessed to be doing what I love most! To be able to capture and document important events in people’s lives such as weddings, birth of a baby and so on. If you have been following my blog, you may have read some of my previous postings of Salina and Rajindren with photos from their wedding to Salina’s bangle wearing ceremony. I’m honoured to photograph another cherished moment for them, this time the arrival of their precious baby boy.
Arya meaning “great” was born on Valentine’s day and these tender photos of him was captured within a month of his birth. I will be taking additional portraits with him from now until he turns a year old, documenting his growth and development. Children usually cannot remember the first few years of their lives hence it’s beneficial to photograph their defining moments for them to look back on when they are all grown up. I’m sure they will thank you for it.
Do enjoy these images of baby Arya which were captured at his home in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

An angel sent from above
In celebration of my baby daughter M, who will be seven months old in just a few days time, I thought I’d share with you some recent photos of her. As parents, it is a joy to witness her growth and development such as turning over on her tummy and starting to crawl, sitting up by herself, and so on.
Capturing these little accomplishments in photographic form is great fun, especially as we are able to share these happy moments with friends and family. Ultimately we will create a coffee table album for her, showcasing her journey from birth to a year old. Truly, she’s been a blessing to us both and we love her to bits!
Ok what’s a blog entry if it doesn’t contain at least a little shameless marketing? Don’t worry, I’ll keep it to a minimum. These photographs have been taken making use of a mobile home studio concept I recently introduced. Through a combination of backgrounds, lighting, materials and props, the overall effect can be tailored to suit a variety of individual tastes. Whether you are a fan of the loud, bright and cheery ‘in your face’ style, or prefer a more soft, subtle, sophisticated look, the mobile home studio concept offers such flexibility. There, that didn’t hurt.
Hope you enjoy viewing these images in the mean time, a recent photoshoot of a newborn baby will be posted on my blog in the coming week so stay tuned!
She’s still curious whenever she looks at the camera
