Rejuvenated after a short Christmas holiday break with my family, I’m enthused to start of the year with more photography projects.  As the year progresses, I’ll share my goals, aspirations, achievements and more of my personal thoughts with all of you, hence it will be more blogging on my part!

Today, its exactly day 5 into the new year and I’m happy to say I’m sticking to my resolutions and I’ve realised my wish list for the year is longer than ever!

There will be some positive changes to the Company, starting from a new look and feel to the website (which is coming soon) to working with a pool of professional photographers who will shoot on behalf of me whenever I’m pre-booked in lieu of expanding the Company.   2010 is going to be filled with so much more excitement, so stay tuned for more goodness heading your way!

Here’s wishing everyone a very blessed Happy New Year, wish 2010 brings an abundance of health, wealth and happiness in all your lives. So let’s cherish our loved ones by capturing precious moments on camera!

Whenever there is talk of Nikon versus Canon, I’m always on Nikon’s side, as most of my camera, lenses and equipment I own belongs under the Nikon flag, but I also own Canon point and shoot cameras and love the fact that Canon’s Service Centre has always been much quicker to respond and solve any problems I’ve had.

Anyway, let me put aside these thoughts and share with you an interesting event called “Canon Photo Marathon 2009” which will be organised on 10 October 2009 in Sunway Lagoon Theme Park from 7:00am to 9:00pm. Do check out their website to know more about the event.

It does not matter what camera make you own, just remember to register yourself on their website and have lots of fun!

Yes as you have realised I am an Internet Junkie or social network geek in other words ;o)

I’ve yet again added another social network called Linked-In to my long list of followings i.e. facebook, twitter, orkut, flickr etc.

After meeting up with a friend for dinner last night who assured me that Linked-In is another great site for networking, I’ve joined in.  So for those who are already in, do add me under your network – Click me. I’m still new to it, so may not have much stuff posted on it yet.

That’s right!

After some delay, my website – www.ashacarlos.com has actually been updated with the latest photographs taken at recent functions and parties.  I’ve even created a new section for wedding photography under ‘gallery’ so that couples would get a chance to see some examples of photos taken during various wedding ceremonies and dinner receptions.

There are still lots more wedding and event photographs to be updated, so please be patient and I’ll update it in time.

I know its June, and halfway through 2009 and its no time to be making resolutions but to be keeping it! But since my blog is not updated regularly, I’ve made a pact with myself to update it with a posting everyday, be it random ramblings, photography help-links for upcoming photographers, tips for brides, sneak preview of events that I photograph as well as things that I am passionate about.

So stay tuned for a more “buzzed” up blog to keep you entertained..feel free to leave comments or your thoughts!

My favourite application in my mobile phone and most used has to be the camera! I find this convenient, especially when I don’t have my DSLR with me and I need a camera to photography something almost immediately from text to images!

My favourite subjects to photographs include friends, both raw and cooked food and intriguing images.
