Suneha’s Family Portraits

Wednesday, April 18th, 2012

Here are some portrait shots of Suneha along with her mother, Mindy and grandma, Harjit which I took in Putrajaya. Before a shoot I discuss with the client about any particular theme, concept or ideas they would like included in the session. Sometimes clients have a specific pose that they want captured, such as the mother and daughter close-up shot that Mindy requested.

We were blessed with good weather for the shoot, not too sunny even though we started late in the morning that day. Suneha was quite the photogenic child, a little shy at first which is not unusual during a photo session, but she soon warmed up to me. Do enjoy viewing these photos and feel free to contact me if you would like your family portraits captured.

My Daughter Madeline

Wednesday, April 4th, 2012

Regular followers of my blog are probably aware that I have a daughter, Madeline who is now 19 months old. I like to photograph her on a regular basis because at this age children grow up and change at an incredible rate. Photographs are also a great way of keeping friends and family updated with her progress, and retain moments to share with her in years to come when she’s all grown up.

This being my first child, I’m still relatively new to parenthood, and with it comes a whole kaleidoscope of emotions from elation to frustration and everything in between. On the whole it’s a unique, incredible experience and I feel so blessed to be a parent, especially to such a wonderful cheeky rascal. Do enjoy these photographs of her which i took recently.

Milann’s 1st Birthday Celebration

Tuesday, January 3rd, 2012

I had the opportunity to photograph Milann’s 1st birthday party celebrate on 17th December 2011 at the Bukit Jalil Golf and Country Resort. This was a pool side party and was beautifully decorated with Milann’s favourite Sesame Street character, Elmo. Milann’s mum and dad, Yogan and Pugan, did a great job in organising a well themed, fun and entertaining party for their baby boy.

Do enjoy some sneak preview of these images.

Vidhya & Thenes’s Engagement Ceremony

Wednesday, December 28th, 2011

I had the privilege to photograph Vidhya and Thenes’s Hindu Engagement ceremony at the beautiful Sri Muthu Mariamman Temple off Jalan Pantai Baharu in Bangsar on 14th December 2011. We started off at Vidhya’s home for some getting ready shots before heading off to the temple. It was a wet day but luckily the weather improved just as the Groom’s family arrived with the gift trays.

As you can see, Vidhya and Thenes looked absolutely gorgeous and they both planned the day meticulously so everything fell perfectly into place. Here are some sneak preview images of their special day.

Maziah & Anaqi Farrel Pre-wedding Portraits

Friday, October 28th, 2011

Themed casual pre-wedding portrait sessions are one of my favourite portrait sessions to photograph besides kid’s photography as a lot of thought process goes into setting up each shot. From location, props, make-up to clothes, I will most often come up wuth a concept to share with the couple or get them to propose some ideas. The whole process is so much fun and I enjoy this very much.

Maziah and Anaqi met when they were in high school in Kuching then they parted separate ways, somehow fate brought them together when they randomly met in KL. Both of them are so in love and capturing that in photos gives me a fuzzy feeling. They will be getting married on 23 December 2011 in Kuching, East Malaysia. The reunion is all the more beautiful as its a mixed marriage, Maziah is Malay while Anaqi is of Chinese origin.

For the photo shoot, we decided to do two different themes – the first is a pre-wedding portrait session while the second a school themed session to mimic the days when they were ditching school and hanging out in the park instead. Do enjoy these sneak previews.

Pet Portraits – Shih Tzu Dogs

Friday, September 30th, 2011

You have probably heard the line made famous by W.C. Fields, “Never work with children or animals”. That may well be true in the showbiz world, but as a photographer I enjoy working with children and animals very much. Sure it can be challenging because neither like to take instruction, but with a little patience the results can be very rewarding.

I had the opportunity recently to take a pet portrait session for Deanna and Rita and their pet shih tzus. These two cute little brothers are so adorable that anyone would just fall in love with them at first sight! Best friends Deanna and Rita have cared for the dogs, Chom-Chom and Baby since they were just two months old.

For the photoshoot we headed to Desa Park City where it’s common for dog owners take a morning stroll with their beloved pets. There’s a cafe there, Fitou Brasserie which allows you to bring your dog as you sip a cup of tea and have your meal, an unusually refreshing sight indeed. Enjoy the photos.

Newborn Portrait Photography: Gabriella

Monday, June 20th, 2011

I love taking baby photographs which encapsulate those many precious fleeting moments of young life. Over the first few months their character shines through more, as they grow and mature and learn to crawl, walk and talk and so on. That being said, it is at their newborn stage when they are at their most delicate, with their ever so cute tiny hands and feet, fingers and toes. An ideal time to photograph newborns is within the first week or two as they tend to sleep more, making their body easier to sculpt into various positions.

Ok let me introduce you to newborn baby Gabriella, the pride and joy of parents Josephine and Stephen. Here are some sneak preview images of the little angel who was just one week old at the time, and is of mixed parentage – Sinhalese and Scottish.

I like using natural light as it brings out the beautiful natural skin tone of the baby

Playtime With Baby Neha

Thursday, May 19th, 2011

In celebration of beautiful baby girl Neha turning six months old, her mum Puvanes decided to get some portraiture shots of her little one. Puvanes who got to know me from one of my previous clients Salina, came all the way from Seremban especially for the shoot.

Baby Neha was super photogenic and her smile was contagious. The photo session was held in KL and as it was situated nearby a residential park, we decided on a combination of indoor and outdoor shots. Little Neha was happy to dress up in the selection of outfits that was laid out for her by her mum, and her charm and character resulted in a great set of pictures.

Subha and Mahes’s Couple Portrait Session

Thursday, March 10th, 2011

Subha and Mahes found me via google and after a quick consultation decided on booking me for this casual outdoor portrait session or engagement photo session as it is sometimes known overseas.

I personally enjoy photographing these casual pre-wedding sessions which last no more than two hours as it is more dynamic and fun for the couple and photographer when compared to a traditional pre-wedding session which can take up most of a day and leave the couple physically and emotionally exhausted.

As a photographer it’s always inspiring with clients such as Subha and Mahes because they are both easy going and take directions easily, hence making the session a breeze. So I do hope you enjoy viewing this preview.
