Tioman Island is located in the east coast of Malaysia and is easily accessible via the Mersing Jetty in the state of Johor. This was a refreshing trip I took with my family, I spent the whole evening with my Nikon trying to capture the sunset by the seaside instead of jumping into the pool (it was jelly fish season so the beach was out of the question). This was quite a sacrifice for me, but worth every click!
I’ve edited some of the shots using Photoshop for the unique effect.
This engagement shoot at home, in Batang Berjuntai. Its a nice scenic place there, more like the malaysian kampung (country side). Both the bride and groom were very shy as it was an arranged marriage. The weather was fine till I arrived at their home, but luckily it was an indoor event and the weather subsided later on. They were indeed surprised to find out that the photographer was female and kept calling me “photoman”.
I love taking photos, but sometimes its a challenge to shoot family functions as there is so much of buzz and family wanting to chat with me despite that fact that I am ‘working’. Nevertheless I always love to capture little moments such as this and am always honoured when I am asked to photograph such important moments.

Here are some shots of my close friends, Renu & Mano’s registration taken at a temple in Klang. It was lovely weather and the ceremony went on without a hitch!
These photos was taken some time back for my cousin’s 50th birthday party at his house in Happy Gardens. It was an interesting night with live music played by both the old and new ‘Yellow Jackets’. The younger cousins were having a blast running around. There were about more than 50 plus people attending the party. A casual yet relaxed atmosphere.
Here are some photos taken during a corporate shoot I did for Mr Hariram who runs a law firm in KL. I loved the view from his office, his vast collection of books in his library and most of all the beautify art collection hanging on the walls. There’s just a nice cosy feeling to his office. A big thanks to Mr Hariram and Selvarani.

I love 21st birthday parties, somehow it reminds me of mine. Santini’s party was held at the Klang Executive Club (KEC). I enjoyed taking photographs for her as it was a very informal party with a nice buffet spread. Good ambiance, music and lots of balloons ! I was also very familiar with KEC as I used to frequent the places.
I managed to take some nice photos of Santini by the poolside with the available daylight before the party started.

This was another fun shoot for me, a 21st birthday party. It was none other than my friend, Indra’s sister’s (Kayethri) 21st birthday, celebrated at their home in Klang. It was very well planned with good food, DJ music and even a theme colour, ‘blue’. Close family and friends attended the party. Thanks for making me a part of your celebration!

I’ve photographed many corporate events such as meetings, annual diners and even Rotary Club functions since my film days. But here are some recent photos taken during a shoot I did for Control Union.
This was a fun and interesting shoot as I started in the afternoon covering the BOD’s formal discussion at a meeting room at Shangri-La Hotel, KL and later also covered the dinner cocktail reception which was held at the pool side of Renaissance Hotel, KL.

My initial passion was to take nature and travel photos, but as time passed I realised that capturing people is equally exciting as it adds a personal touch to the photo and brings forth their character to life.
I also believe that each one of us are beautiful even if we’ve never won a beauty contest or have been featured on the front pages of a magazine.
