Week 39 and Counting…

Monday, March 4th, 2013

If you’ve been wondering what I’ve been up to lately since there has been a slow down in my blog postings… well its because I’ve been busy with my “bun in the oven” and have currently completed 38 weeks of pregnancy.

Compared with my first pregnancy, I have not been so actively documenting each week or milestone. I guess the second time round I am a little more experienced and relaxed about the process, although just as excited as well as nervous about the arrival of the newborn. Anyway here’s a shot of me taken at approximately 35 weeks pregnant.

Pregnancy Portrait

Friday, June 8th, 2012

I was contacted recently by one of my previous pre-wedding portrait clients, Subha & Mahes to photograph their first pregnancy. Documenting a pregnancy is a beautiful process that encompasses a couple’s love for each other and for their forthcoming child. Such photos provide a lasting memory for the couple, and a source of fascination for their little one.

I took the pregnancy shots in a combination of outdoor and indoor settings. For the outdoor shots we headed to a park nearby their home and took some free and easy casual poses. The indoor portraits were photographed at their beautiful home which gave the portraits a pseudo studio effect. Do enjoy viewing these photos.

Pui Family Portrait Session

Tuesday, April 10th, 2012

This is my second time photographing the Pui family, the previous time being an outdoor portrait session which can be viewed here. This time around I took an indoor portrait shoot of them at their residence in Puchong. It was a Chinese New Year themed photo session, hence the costumes and props.

It was great fun getting the little ones (Chrystabelle and Chrysander) to pose with the chinese lanterns, the red money packets and mandarin oranges at their residence in Puchong and they did a wonderful job. Hope you enjoy viewing these images.

My Daughter Madeline

Wednesday, April 4th, 2012

Regular followers of my blog are probably aware that I have a daughter, Madeline who is now 19 months old. I like to photograph her on a regular basis because at this age children grow up and change at an incredible rate. Photographs are also a great way of keeping friends and family updated with her progress, and retain moments to share with her in years to come when she’s all grown up.

This being my first child, I’m still relatively new to parenthood, and with it comes a whole kaleidoscope of emotions from elation to frustration and everything in between. On the whole it’s a unique, incredible experience and I feel so blessed to be a parent, especially to such a wonderful cheeky rascal. Do enjoy these photographs of her which i took recently.

Chinese New Year Family Portraits

Monday, March 12th, 2012

I’m posting this a little late after the Chinese New Year celebrations, but I would like to share a family portrait session taken at their home in Kuala Lumpur during Chinese New Year. With a total of thirteen family members young and old, I had great fun posing them. All shots were taken indoors at the client’s house, using available furniture as props. Here are some of my favourite photos from the session, do enjoy viewing these.

Baby Arya Turns Six Months Old

Thursday, August 18th, 2011

Well it’s almost five months since I last photographed Arya so it was great to catch up and see how much he has grown since then. It’s nice to see his personality shining through at this tender age, and with his big baby eyes and contagious smile my little charming muse was such a joy to photograph.

Working with clients such as Rajindren and Salina is an added bonus as they are full of enthusiasm, ideas and inspiration. Enjoy viewing these images of the little one. If you have a specific idea for a portraiture session of your loved ones feel free to discuss it me and we can brainstorm together to come up with a fun and memorable shoot just for you.

Celebrating Life & Love with Baby Aleya

Saturday, August 6th, 2011

Here are some photos captured of the little and tiny Baby Aleya just a month of her being born into this world. I used more of a natural lighting technique to get warm and natural skin tones on the photos. These newborn photos were photographed at Shalin & Azidi’s beautiful home in Mutiara Damansara. I guess I have to give google a big hug for channeling them to me as Aleya is such a doll!

Newborn Portrait Photography: Gabriella

Monday, June 20th, 2011

I love taking baby photographs which encapsulate those many precious fleeting moments of young life. Over the first few months their character shines through more, as they grow and mature and learn to crawl, walk and talk and so on. That being said, it is at their newborn stage when they are at their most delicate, with their ever so cute tiny hands and feet, fingers and toes. An ideal time to photograph newborns is within the first week or two as they tend to sleep more, making their body easier to sculpt into various positions.

Ok let me introduce you to newborn baby Gabriella, the pride and joy of parents Josephine and Stephen. Here are some sneak preview images of the little angel who was just one week old at the time, and is of mixed parentage – Sinhalese and Scottish.

I like using natural light as it brings out the beautiful natural skin tone of the baby

Playtime With Baby Neha

Thursday, May 19th, 2011

In celebration of beautiful baby girl Neha turning six months old, her mum Puvanes decided to get some portraiture shots of her little one. Puvanes who got to know me from one of my previous clients Salina, came all the way from Seremban especially for the shoot.

Baby Neha was super photogenic and her smile was contagious. The photo session was held in KL and as it was situated nearby a residential park, we decided on a combination of indoor and outdoor shots. Little Neha was happy to dress up in the selection of outfits that was laid out for her by her mum, and her charm and character resulted in a great set of pictures.
