Having Fun With Six Month Old Baby Mylo

Tuesday, April 19th, 2011

Here is another fun loving portrait session I took recently with a six month old baby boy. Being of mixed parentage (Portuguese and Chinese), Mylo was such a cute baby to photograph. The photo session was taken at a residential park in Petaling Jaya. We had reasonable weather with a slightly overcast sky and the occasional sun bursting out of the clouds. We were also lucky to have the park all to ourselves as their neighbourhood was quiet.

Most children love it when you sing lullabies or nursery rhymes to them, so it was not surprising when Mylo formed a huge smile whenever his mum and grandma started singing his favourite song:

The itsy bitsy spider went up the water spout.
Down came the rain, and washed the spider out.
Up came the sun, and dried up all the rain,
and the itsy bitsy spider went up the spout again.

Thank you to Michael & Mae for your lovely hospitality and do enjoy viewing the photos.

Subha and Mahes’s Couple Portrait Session

Thursday, March 10th, 2011

Subha and Mahes found me via google and after a quick consultation decided on booking me for this casual outdoor portrait session or engagement photo session as it is sometimes known overseas.

I personally enjoy photographing these casual pre-wedding sessions which last no more than two hours as it is more dynamic and fun for the couple and photographer when compared to a traditional pre-wedding session which can take up most of a day and leave the couple physically and emotionally exhausted.

As a photographer it’s always inspiring with clients such as Subha and Mahes because they are both easy going and take directions easily, hence making the session a breeze. So I do hope you enjoy viewing this preview.

With 2010 rapidly drawing to a close and a new year just around the corner, I will be offering a choice of three affordable packages to parents interested in baby portrait photography. As almost every parent will notice, children do grow up in what seems like the blink of an eye. A portrait photography session is an ideal way of capturing those precious stages of childhood, and provides a lasting memento which can be enjoyed by parent and child alike for many years to come.

Family Portrait Session

Wednesday, August 11th, 2010

I love taking family portrait sessions especially when its done in an outdoor environment such as a park or playground area. In addition to all of the benefits of natural lighting, I find that the surroundings are more relaxing and enjoyable for all involved in comparison to that of a conventional studio environment.

Recently I had the opportunity to take an outdoor family portrait shots of one of my best friends, Alicia who was on a holiday to Malaysia from Switzerland with her husband Cedric and their three beautiful and adorable kids.

It has been almost three years since I last met up her family and how time really does seem to fly past so very quickly. Meilyn, who is nine years old and Mikael who is now seven have grown so big in such a short time. It was the first time also that I had the opportunity to meet the new addition to the family, Shanlee who will be turning one on Merdeka Day (31st August).

It was such a joy to meet up with them again and to take these photos as they were so easy to photograph. After barely over an hour of the portrait session we already ended up with a ton of images. Here are some sneak preview images, more will be updated on my website in due course.

Baby Shashini’s Family Portrait Session

Monday, December 7th, 2009

I had such a wonderful time photographing Baby Shashini and her parents, Vijay & Lalitha during their family outdoor portrait session at the Kota Permai Golf & Country Club in Kota Kemuning, Shah Alam recently. All the photos turned out amazing as Shashini is such a poser!

Hence, you can imagine….what a difficult task it was for me to chose these teaser shots for the blog.  Shashini will be celebrating her 1st year old birthday party in January and I can’t wait to photograph it!

I hope you enjoy viewing these shots as much as I had fun shooting them. Please feel free to leave your comments!

Baby Roshini’s Outdoor Portraiture Session

Monday, November 9th, 2009

Last friday, I had the opportunity to photograph baby Roshini’s outdoor portraiture with her family in Klang. Her mom (Vasanthy) and aunt (Suganthi) and her grandma tagged along.

The weather was really gloomy and rainy in the morning and I kept praying for it to stop. Luckily the rain stopped by early afternoon and we went into full swing shooting mode, we had so much fun that we didn’t realise the time flying.

Photographing babies, kids or even pets takes a lot of patience especially if you have a difficult child to photography. But lucky me, Roshini was such an awesome baby! Once she got smiling, there was no stopping her, her charm and personality just shines through and her cute little smile is so infectious!

We ended the outdoor photography session at Jusco Klang to relax and unwind. Baby Roshini was tired as well but did a splendid job. She deserves a Star!

Do enjoy these sneak preview photos before I upload the rest onto my website. These photos will be compiled and made into a guest book for Roshini’s 1st birthday party which I will be photographing as well. So stay tuned to my blog for more updates!

Tip :

For those planning to organise a party and need the rain to stop here’s a tip from Vasanthy & Suganthi’s mom – Take 3 dried red chillies, 3 shallots and 3 kayu lidi (broom sticks traditionally used to sweep the outdoors) and place this in front of your house and the rain is sure to stop!

Kids outdoor portrait session

Tuesday, September 1st, 2009

I had the opportunity to photography Arin’s children, Jared & Jaime at her apartment recently to coincide with the children’s school holiday period. We even had one of Jaime’s friend Gracie join us for the session. Here are just some of the images captured on the day.

A lot of parents don’t realise how important it is to capture beautiful images of their children, while they are still young and growing up. Without realising it kids would soon be teenagers in a blink of an eye and all those precious moments lost.

Arin – Thanks for being so hospitable and cooking up a storm for me ;o)
